[Castaway]

amazing.+ kinda long review.

quite good, as a matter of fact i am making a game similar to this (but it will be an exe...) But i found egg farming, grinding, and Standing-In-One-Spot-To-Regain-Health common activities, which took away from the overall gameplay. the elemental swords were very good additions, as was the ability to have a pet version of practically every monster in the game. although there were many flaws-
-No pet revival.
-Few "extra" item slots after one gets the elemental shards, equipment, a feather, and healing items.
-Difficulty curve was a bit too steep.
-Many attacks were much alike making them only useful for combos.
-Potion price was too high.
-at one point i found it more efficient to just stand at the beach and wait for about an hour than to waste about 500 gold in the inn.
-lack of normal weaponry/ armor. (though i understand considering you had to make about 6 sprites for each weapon, making grand total of about 500 sprites counting the enemies.)
-Not many options when it comes to healing your pet.
-monster "!" range is a bit too far.
-Your pet always attacks and gets itself killed at one point.
-Only one "copy" of your starter in the whole game.
-Saving for the sole purpose of preserving my starter became quite common.
Other than these, which prevented a 10, very good game indeed!

it gets boring, FAST. the first time i got game over i just quit there and then. No replay value whatsoever.

very fun.

i have never actually been frustrated by a game before, i just barely managed to get past the part with the blue background and platforms with the big spike pit, and ended up having my eyes bleed at the flashiong platforms AND flashing background, so i quit.
